This bass wood bowl and cherry wood candlestick were made during the summer of 2011. After learning the basics of wood-turning techniques from a student at Rochester Institute of Technology, I began to experiment with simple objects. Following hastily-drawn outline sketches, this bowl and candlestick are early examples of improvised work on the lathe.
